You may be able to locate good information by checking the genealogy of Nicholas Haile(Hale) born circa 1630.  This is the family that gave us Nathan Hale, the Revolutionary War hero.  Spelling of the name varied from branch to branch but they are all descended from the same man. A good ahnentafel on Nicholas will take you back to the 1590s in England.

thank you.i wil ltry Nicholas Haile

In your question, you indicated that Robert's father had been shown as Henry, Thomas, Richard or Charles.

Ancestral file shows only one of those names at https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.2.1/SBFQ-RT2 It's Henry Hale born about 1589 at Kent, England. Ancestral File info is only as good as the accuracy of whoever submited it.

Extensive historical record collections for the UK can be found at: familysearch.org/search/collection/list#page=1&region=UNITED_KINGDOM_IRELAND

Go to archive.org.  Type HALE FAMILY on the search line.  Several books will be listed on the Hale/Haile family, published in the 1880s.  Click on the title. On the left, choose the kind of download.  The reading is free.
