I don't really understand the "open profiles" part - does it just mean anyone who has died? At any rate, I'm sticking to "born in November." And the projects I've undertaken in notables are mostly all musicians, so I'll keep to that, too.
Ike & Tina Turner were both born in November. Since that's 2 notables (w/bios) added, and they are connected to each other, I added 20 rather than 10 profiles. (Didn't connect them to the tree.) There was another notable added, not born in November, but with an open profile (I think), a man with whom Tina Turner had a baby before she married Ike Turner. He was not born in November. (Does that count?)

Too bad I entered ragtime piano great Scott Joplin (born in November) awhile back. The most interesting part of that effort was when I found his father's Texas voter registration record. An emancipated slave, he was on the voter rolls in 1867.
Dwayne Allman: (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Allman-525) was born in November and also died in November. He already had a profile, to which I added parents and brother Gregg back in August. I've added more than 10 additional profiles now, and successfully connected the Allman Brothers to the tree.
Harry Carroll: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Carroll-4056 Tin Pan Alley songwriter noted for "By the Beautiful Sea." Added profile & bio; added dozens of new profiles; eventually connected to tree
John Phillip Sousa: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sousa-182 - added profile & bio. It was not a short path, but Sousa's now connected, via abolitionist Gerrit Smith, also a notable. As a bonus, I also connected Smith to his first cousin, suffragist Elizabeth Cady Stantion (also born in November.) She & Smith were both connected to the tree, just not to each other.
Lewis Henry Morgan: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Morgan-10963 is one of my favorite 19th century thinkers, and it turns out he was born in November. Profile & bio have been posted. Connection should be accomplished shortly. (Or not: there's DOZENS of Thomas Morgans and John Morgans with NO DATES. Some small bit of WikiTree hell to work through it all. What happened to the rule that dates are required?) So, he's connected now, via his father who also has a Wiki page, is also a notable. Added more than 20 new profiles, as well as connecting to the tree. Father is Jedediah Morgan: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Morgan-10964
Mary Travers: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Travers-380 She is known as the Mary in Peter Paul & Mary, the folk trio. Two other connected notables; also added 30+ profiles. Gave up without connecting

Ahmet Ertegun (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Ertegun-1) is a big name in the music industry. His brother, Nesuhi (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Ertegun-3) was too, enough to be inducted to the RnR Hall of Fame in 1991. He was born in November! Their father, Munir Ertegun (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Ertegun-2) is also notable as a Turkish artistocrat who served as a diplomat. 3 notables. >30 added (oddly, it led to Native Americans in Minnesota via one of Nesuhi's 4 wives)
Adolphe Sax, inventor of the saxophone, was born in November. Born Belgium, died Paris in the 1800s, he'll be a challenge to add on to. My contribution? Proposing a merge of Sax-26 and Sax-36, which probably doesn't count for much in this challenge.
