Remembrance Sunday

This morning I watched as our Majesty the King of the Netherlands lay wreaths with the Queen of England at the Cenotaph. Amongst the representatives - all the nations of the Commonwealth that fought in the two great wars, also remembering all those who have fallen before and since then.

Poignant, moving, heartwarming. Quieting. Especially as the connections are being facilitated over time by WikiTree to this day.

Because the descendants are still alive (and on WikiTree) it is not appropriate to mention exactly what was corresponded, only that role of WikiTree in connecting the dots is more than one can imagine, appreciated.

Hi Philip,

Yes, this is always a moving event. It was good to see your King joining us in this act of remembrance, emphasizing the strong ties between our countries.

Kind Regards

John
