Introducing myself

Hi there.  I just found this website and think it's a great idea.  I started researching my family tree years ago, but had a hard drive crash which wiped out most of the data I had entered.  So I guess it's time to start over here!

The surnames I am most interested in are Burden and Matthews.  I have been able to trace the Matthews side of my family back to the 1700s, but I get stuck on the Burden side in the late 1800s.  Anyway, like I said, it's time to start over and I still have many of my notes from my previous research.

Whenever you want to trace back another generation or two, just post the question(s). If the birth year, marriage year and or death year is known to you, post them as well as the location, country, county, and or city will help too.

Welcome, Robb ! Hard drive crashes are a great reason to keep researching and putting your genealogy up online right away. That's what I have been doing for the past years.
