Merging profiles from two wikitree trees

Question

How may I get matching profiles of wikitree entries to merge and to combine two wikitree trees? A message is displayed "<name> (<surname-2>)  and <name> (<surname-1>) are currently set as Unmerged Matches to indicate that the two profiles are not ready to be merged yet" when I attempted a merge.

If I need to contact the profile manager of <surname-1>, what can I ask him?

Dennis, you can ask the person who set the Unmerged Match to explain what sources they would like to see to complete the merge. If that manager is no longer active on WikiTree or is active but doesn't respond to a comment on the profile and a private message, I would remove the Unmerged Match and initiate a new merge.
