There have been so many good profiles getting posted for Note-vember! Here's to another great week!

This week's themes are:

LIVED TO BE 75 OR OLDER or

WOMEN WHO HAVE WON AWARDS IN THEIR FIELD

To count for points, profiles need to fit one of these categories and you must post the profile to this thread before November 24. You don't need to start a new post for each notable, just edit your original post to add them.

Here's how the points work:

* 5 points for writing a biography for a Notable person. You can do this on existing profiles that don't have a biography, or create a new profile.
* 20 points for adding at least 10 people to a Notable person's family tree.
* 25 points for connecting a previously unconnected Notable person to the world wide tree.

Let's go!

Alright - this might be cheating because I started working on this set of profiles in early November and not "technically" this week, but I'm still working to finish them - so maybe it counts.

Mable Albertson [[Albertson-536]] - sister of Jack Albertson - [[Albertson-533]] - famous actress best known for her portrayal of Darrin Stevens mother in Bewitched. She was also the star of "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" as well as numerous other roles. She lived to be around 78-79.

Jack, unfortunately, died at about 74 1/2, so I don't think he will count.

However, they were married into a number of additional Hollywood notables: Ken Englund, husband of Mable, was a famous screenwriter known for "No, No, Nanette" and "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" among many others. Mable's son, who was adopted by Ken, George Englund, was an actor and producer, and married to Cloris Leachman, also a famous actress.

So for that family- 1 profile that meets the criteria for this week, I can't count the bio, but I have added 10 profiles to her tree and am working to get her and her family connected.

I wouldn't be surprised but that Cloris Leachman won herself an Emmy or some other acting award along the way. If so, she'd qualify in her own right.
You are correct! She has several Emmy's and at least 1 Golden Globe!
And I have to say, there was a rumor running around indicating that George Englund, Jr was briefly married to Sharon Stone. Several INTERNET sources including Genealogy.Com appear to have spread this rumor. And Sharon a few years ago on the Piers Morgan show denied it - so apparently this is nothing more than rumor. I was so hoping to tie her into this somehow - and I just don't think there's enough evidence to support it.

Connected http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Pierce-5957 Walter Marcus Pierce (1861 - 1954) and added 13 people to his tree.  His 3rd wife, http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Marvin-591  Cornelia (Marvin) Pierce (1873 - 1957) is notable in her own right and was 83 when she died so she should count too,

I got why Walter was notable - can you add a small note in Cornelia's bio as to why she was notable? Thanks!! You've got me curious now!
She was the state librarian for 24 years and was quite innovative.  l tagged her as notable  based on her inclusion in Wikipedia. The "Oregon Blue Book", linked on  her profile has a good biographical sketch on her.
I see that link - very nice. Considering her stance on Public Libraries in the state of Oregon, she might even qualify as an "Activist" and the project that applies towards that group might be something to look into.

Another notable connected - Adm. Raymond Ames Spruance - added 10 to his line including another couple of notables - Edward Ames and P. Hanson Hiss and Sylvanus Ames.  Filled in on bios and sources on links.

This took me awhile and led down several rabbit holes, but

Phillip Seymour Hoffman - bio +10, connected

and earlier in the month to "try my hand" at this connecting project I took the profile of Anthony Snyder - Snyder-2831 - who was just on the list of unconnected.  Follow his line through to the Tarbox's and Lowell's in Pennsylvania.  The Tarbox family is a branch of the Mass. Tarbox's -some of the first settlers America.  So, I don't think Anthony qualifies for the month's theme, but it was my first effort so I wanted to post it.

Anthony Snyder - Bio +10, connected.
