In my opinion, you should extend your research area outside of Germany. Two last surnames strongly suggest East European descent (maybe Slovenian?).

Mennonites during their history often move, seeking religious freedom and they settled areas in current Russia, Ukraine, Poland etc.

Omota is today a district of the town of Semič in Slovenia. Church books for the arch diocese Maribor have been digitized but are not (yet) accessible on-line, only at the diocesan archives in Graz, Austria, and Maribor, Slovenia.

The area is known as Gottschee. One of the main immigration areas in the USA was Cleveland. Perhaps somebody at the Gottscheer Club of Cleveland http://www.eouv.com/ can help with other ideas how to research that area.

As to your Mennonite connection: Bergthold is a rather uncommon spelling and there are a few listings for Bergtholds in Erpolzheim, Rhineland-Palatinate. There also exists an article about Mennonites in a book dealing with Erpolzheim and one of the authors is a Günter Bergtholdt:

Die Erpolzheimer Mennoniten / Dieter Reinhard ; Günter Bergtholdt
In: Erpolzheim : (fast) alles über Erpolzheim / [textliche Bearb.: Emil Hettich ... ]. - Erpolzheim. - ISBN 978-3-00-035638-4. - Bd. 2 (2011), S. 259-265. - Ill. - ISBN 978-3-00-035638-4

It might be worth starting with this village.
