how can I see all the profiles from my imported GEDCOM?  Do I REALLY have to enter them manually, and if so, then whats the point of importing a GEDCOM?

Once you upload a gedcom and go through the process of reviewing with skipping matches and such you approve and it will then go for a final review prior to import. After it is imported you would click on My WIklitree upper right and choose watchlist from the drop down and it will show all the profiles you are manager of or on the trusted list for,

Thank you  Jacky for your response. I actually have done that entire process and  got this message:

Jerry Barnard's GEDCOM

Thank you for uploading your GEDCOM. You may want to bookmark this page and refer to it later. It tracks the status of your file on WikiTree. At any time before a completed import you can delete the GEDCOM and prevent further processing.

First  Upload to WikiTree: Complete

Master 8.0_2015-11-06.ged was uploaded by Jerry Barnard 2015-11-06 11:58:52. The raw GEDCOM is 406011 bytes. It contains 239 individuals with the earliest person born 1542. It includes 7 sources.

Second  GEDCompare Report: Complete

The report is no longer available.

Third  Import Approval by Jerry Barnard: Complete

Import was approved.

Fourth  Import Approval by WikiTree: Complete

It was approved by a WikiTree team member.

Fifth  Import into WikiTree: Complete

But I can only see the profiles on watch list that I have manually  entered. Do you think I need to upload the GEDCOM and start  again?
Thanks    Jerry

Jerry, If you go to the gedcom report you mentioned and scroll down you will see a list of some 200+ profiles that were skipped and not imported into WikiTree. These skipped profiles are supposed to be ones that have duplicates already here on WIkiTree. You will need to go through that list, find their match here and link them into your tree.

If they were skipped in error, then you may have to reimport your tree.

Hi Shirely.... I uploaded the  GEDCOM and made sure NOT to skip everyone ( silly me )   But now I'm  not sure how to connect all these people to my tree.  Any advice?

 Thanks

Jerry
For each profile that was skipped, go to People:Search under Find at the top of the page. Search for each profile that was skipped to find the match. You will need to link them into your tree appropriately. If necessary, send a message to the profile manager for help and/or ask to be put on the Trusted List for the matched profile.

If the profiles are Open privacy, you may edit them. On the Edit page go to add husband, wife, child, etc., and link to the appropriate profile in your tree.

Any problems, message me and I'll see if I can help.

I know I must come off as being " less than bright"  so I apologize. The first time I imported the GEDCOM , I skipped everyone, so of course no one was imported. The second time I only skipped  duplicates.  But I am still not seeing any of the information  on the profiles. From what  I understand I have to "connect" them?   I am seeing them in the watch list.  So what is the best way to get all these people into my tree?

thanks
If you are seeing the imported profiles in your watchlist, you're on the way. Now, as I mentioned above, you need to find the duplicates here on WikiTree of the ones you skipped. Then link to your tree as appropriate.
