Please help me find the relatives of Veronika Schmid, the sister of Rosalin "Rosa" Schmid Herrmann (her legitimized birth name) Baer (Bar w umlaut-a). In 1911, Rosa lists that she is visiting her sister, who would be Veronica Schmid in New Haven CT (18 STANEN St).  Veronika would be THE person to have married and had children in the USA, so that I could connect with my living ancestors before I die (I'm 76 in 2016). Veronika paid for the passage of my gm Anna Berg (a von Berg historically), but Anna had lost all her immediate family except her father, Josef, and her son, Rudolf Rudy Berg in 1907 when she immigrated. Her father died in 1915, from a military wound (WWI).

I HAVE A BAUER FAMILY BUFFALO NY
by Rob Herrmann G2G Crew (950 points)
Thousands (if not much more) people have families of German heritage inside the US at this point in world history. Having one family member with a name similar or the same in their tree is not likely at all to be a relative of anyone else, except by percentages outweighing a world-wide lottery, Rob. But thanks for thinking of my search situation.
A comment on the earliest comments in this short queue:  I have received no comments on my original question. Have I not worded it correctly or carefully? Please help me find my dominant German relatives.

Have I missed asking a good question??
Rob, I believe your offered surname is not available as an answer to my situation. I've never seen your family's surname in any search for the surnames in my families' lines.
