Feature Request: Notify of new DNA Connections

I've gotten so used to seeing just my own (many, heh) DNA tests on the right side of profiles I'm working on under DNA Connections that I was shocked the other day when I noticed another name over there. Hey, I've got another DNA cousin!

Is it feasible for WikiTree to send out a message when someone new is added as a DNA Connection to profiles on your watch list?

Hmm, maybe this is reported in the activity feed and I just missed it?
It would be nice to a trumpet sound or something. Just me talking

Hi Stephen,

I think this is a great idea. We will work on how it might be done.

In the meantime, I assume you're aware of the DNA Ancestor Confirmation Aid? It's in your "My WikiTree" pull down menu. Its purpose is essentially to show when there are tests connecting to your ancestors.

Thinking"out loud" here ...

This is difficult for a few reasons. We rebuild all test connections every night. This means that all test connections are "new" every day.

Test connections change because family connections are added and edited. That is, it's not just that new tests are being added. Tests are connecting to different profiles based on the family relationships of the test-taker.

We would need some system for tracking when they're "new."

Who would the e-mail go to? Probably the profile manager(s), not everyone on the profile's Trusted List. Though, if it were in the weekly Activity Feed update that wouldn't be a burden.
