Was Alistair Tait employed at the Royal Crischton? Is 1923 his birth year or does 1923 have to do with some other event that is associated with Dr. Tait?

Do you have any additional information as to the name of his wife, where he was married and whether he spent all his years in the UK or did he relocate?

Is there a specific question about Alistair Tait that you want answered?
I believe Dr Tait was employed at the Royal Crichton. 1923 is the dob of an illegitimate child fathered by Dr Tait with Gertrude Grierson, a nurse also employed at the Royal Crichton. The child (a son) was born in Inverness

It is believed that Dr Tait died abroad, very possibly India.

Does Dr Tait have any surviving relatives?
In searching for Alistar Tate, by far, the most frequent result is Alexander Tait. Are you sure that his first name is Alistar?

Do you know the name of the child?
Pretty certain the name was Alistair.  He is listed in the 1922 Chronicle of the Royal Crichton as 3rd physician.  By 1923 he had left to go into private practice.  It is believed that Dr Tait's will was held by a solicitor in Inverurie by Inverness.

The child's name was David
Further information just gathered. By 1941Dr Tait was Major Tait.  He had paid maintenance for David for the statutory 16 years. A firm of solicitors in Cupar in Fife dealt with the final Maintenance payment in 1939
Do you know if David came to NY or is that just another person with the same first and last name?

I have three James Anderson's in my early ancestry. The earliest was Of Cool-Collet Hill, Glaslough, Monaghan County, Ireland. He married Janet Bell. James and Janet (Bell) Anderson had a son, also named James. This James Anderson, Sr. married Sarah Bell in 1792 at County Monaghan, Ireland. Their son, James Anderson, Jr. married Caroline Brown at Jefferson County, KY.

The Sarah Bell who married James Anderson, Sr. is the sister to my ancestor, Walter Bell, born July 24, 1775. Walter came to American in 1792 with many of his siblings and his parents, settling in western PA.
This David did not go to New York.  He remained in Scotland
There are several men named David Tait who are buried in Scotland. Is there one who looks to be the right person to you?

Yes, the brothers were sons of John Thomas Tait and Bellana Walker
There is a contemporary Thomas Tait who is a Canadian fashion designer living and working in London.  Do you know if he is a descendant of Thomas Walker Tait, brother of Alastair?
The resource I use the most is famlysearch.org , but their records are of people who are no longer living. You could contact Thomas Tait on the interenet, on twitter, or on facebook.  http://showstudio.com/contributor/thomas_tait
