Play connect the dots between Germany, South Africa, Switzerland, and maybe even a little US

I'm getting to the last few hundred profiles in the monster gedcom I adopted a year ago and as I get closer to the end, they are getting more and more challenging to work on.

We have a nuclear family of father, mother, son, and his wife.  The wife is my current nemesis.  She was an Unknown,  The good news is that I found her LNAB, but the bad news is that the only records I could find for her are a geni family tree and the Stern-Lobl Family Database, both of which are hardly worthy of the name "source".

These trees say she was born in Germany and died in Switzerland.  The gedcom said she was christened in South Africa.  I have been looking for information on her parents and brother, hoping that it would help.  I found that her mother, brother and husband all have something indicating they were in South Africa at some time, but there is only 1 record from (what I consider) a legitimate source - her mother's travel between South Africa and the United States.

I submitted the profile for review, with questions of what to do about all the glaring holes - there's a comment with some advice that I followed.  Can anyone find out anything about this elusive family?

I'm doing a slow clap for you, Gaile. You have been so diligent with your work on this GEDCOM! Way to go!

We'll have to find another one for her, when she's done.
Bite your tongue!!!

This gedcom has served me as well as I've served it - I knew absolute zero about genealogy and couldn't even begin to work on my family or my husband's, which are much more complicated, involving a half dozen different countries and no names or relationships beyond grandparents to give me a start.  After what I have learned from all the work I've done on this, plus all the help I've received from a hundred or more generous WikiTree members, I'm chomping at the bit to get this gedcom finished so that I can seriously address my own family.
We really need a "like" button or an "LOL" button - you guys crack me up sometimes!
Gaile I support you taking a while to work on your own family after working on this for so long. In fact I took a whole day off from working on profiles yesterday and today I decided that I am going to spend more time on the profiles of my own family line and less on the GEDCOM cleanup I have been working on. It is sad and just plain wrong that the profiles I created on here look worse than the one's I am fixing that others created.
I have the same problem, Dale!  I keep promising myself I'm going to work on my own stuff, and then I end up working on something else.  I call it "Wikitree ADD." :-)
Dale, THANX - your support means a lot to me.

Julie, At work (before I retired) someone once dubbed me "the tangent queen" because of my propensity to run off in a lot of different directions, rather than staying narrowly focused.
I might resemble that remark, Gaile. :)
