NewRe: Mitchell, Pritchard, Prichard, Ferguson

I have George Everett as one of the seven children of Elihue and Margaret (Barron) Ferguson. Elihue b. 1836 in Washington Co., TN; d. between 1880/1900 prob. Washington Co., TN. Margaret was the d/o Jacob and Jane (Murray) Barron, b. 1839 Washington Co., TN; d. aft 1920 prob. Washington Co., TN. They were married abt 1855 in Jonesboro, Washington Co., TN. What seems to be elusive, so far, is Elihue's parents. Since my Ferguson ancestors all migrated to Washington County in 1795 from Pennsylvania, it is not implausible that Elihue is somehow connected to the three brothers that settled there and carry the Ferguson surname. So far, however, no documentation has been discovered that ties Elihue with our family. My suspicion is that the only way to confirm or refute that possibility at this stage would be for one of Elihue's male descendants to have his Y-DNA analyzed. While the Ferguson connection is still undocumented, there are numerous other families that these Fergusons married into that ARE direct relation (Bacon, Armentrout, Goad), so some your Ferguson cousins are also cousins of mine, but through some other connection.
