Thank you for the information. I suspect Billicomb was a misspelling. (Dora, Robert's wife and my grandmother, didn't spell well.) In any event, I cant find Rbt E. Chewnings parents anywhere in Missouri census info, nor do I know his father's or mother's first name. Supposedly, the mother was born in Ohio, father  in Kentucky. Cant find a Billicomb, Combs, Billicome, etc. family in that area that appears to match up with Chewning (or Chowning). in the 1800's.  Anyway, thanks again.  (I'm new at this......)
