Can you help me find Melshein on google maps

I descend from Valentine Saling (born 1791 in Bavaria, Germany).  I suspect he was born somewhere along the current French-German border in modern day Rhineland Pfalz.  I also believe his ancestors were French a generation or two before this.  Your information on George Saling fits this pattern perfectly.  I can't find Melshein on google maps.  Could it be Moelsheim?  If so, there is one in France rather near to Ingenheim, and another one quite some distance up in Rhineland Pfalz near Worms.

Valentine Saling and family arrived in SE Ohio in about 1839 in Philadelphia.  They were Catholic.  I don't know anymore about them than that.  Any help would be appreciated.  Dale Schott     daleschott@comcast.net

If you click on this map you can enlarge the image and read the towns.  There is a "Molshelm" Bavaria - in the Baden section - lower left - near the French border.  Don't know if this will help.
