No matter what I do I cannot edit anyone but myself such as Barbara Gamertsfelder Matcheys e-mail address.

I show last changes to this profile group as of 30 July 2011. These pages are privacy protected so I can not see them and will require assistance from Chris. He checks the G2G forum frequently, if you can hold on. I only have supervisor access to profiles over 300 years old and the profiles you are referring to are privacy protected.

The email address for your profile page may be different from the others, sent you an email at your yahoo mail address this email address is in control/has access to the older profiles, still not able to see your page.

Notice no changes even to his own profile page. Make sure you "Save Changes"
Chris, are "cookies" or some such thing required and enabled for access?

Assuming you're logged in with that yahoo address, you should be able to.

When you say you can't edit, what exactly are you seeing? Does it tell you don't have permission, or does it give you an error message at some stage of the process? With more details we might be able to isolate what's going on.
