I have a love/hate relationship with Genealogy :)
Yesterday, I started doing "a little bit" of research into an ancestor. Minutes turned into hours, and one thing led to another thing until I no longer remembered how I came to be where I ended up.
But then, I found it!
I had been searching for the father of a person that had the same name as another person, but knew that they weren't the same. So, I finally (FINALLY!) stumbled upon an Essex Institute document that told me his father's name, and I contacted a WikiTreer who managed a profile with the same name, asking if he had any more info on the son, Benjamin. Sure enough he did!
Now, if I could just get back the HOURS I spent on it when I should have been doing something else, I would be eternally grateful.
It's all good! Even when it is a long, winding road to get there!
