LOOKING FOR INFO ON SAMUEL BATON & MARY BATON IN RI

Question

I have located the grave of a Joseph Baton 1843-1901. He was born in Rhode Island. He is is the 1870 (age 27) with his mother, Mary Baton (b. abt.1801) (in 1870 Mary was 69 yrs old) living in N. Kingstown, RI.
In the 1850 census, Joseph was 6 and with his dad, Samuel Baton (b. abt. 1788 and was 62 at that time) and Mary Baton. They were living in East Greenwich, RI at that time.

I am looking to find out who was Samuel's parents? And if possible, What was Mary's maiden name or who was her parents?

Found Joseph's headstone today and there is absolutely no one with him. He is buried in Plainfield/Moosup, Connecticut.

This appears to be Joseph with his mother in the 1865 Rhode Island State Census. Her maiden name is Caswell. First name is listed as Marcy. Her FindAGrave Memorial lists her as Marcy.
