I have John Foote of Royston, Hertford, England married Helen Warren in 1520. They had a son, Robert (John) Foote in 1523. Robert (John) Foote had a son, Robert Foote in 1553 in Shalford, Colchester, Essex, England who died in London. This Robert married Joane Brooke in 1576.

Do you think this family is related to the Foote names in the book?

One descendant ws born in Roxbury, Suffolk Co., MA and the line led to Ernest Miller Hemingway, the writer.
