I would say it will be much easier to adapt the software than to train us on its proper use! This in vitro gametogenesis is an exciting breakthrough for families of all types. I know here on WikiTree we've recently introduced the ability to mark parents as non-biological, but we've hesitated to add features to support the identification of two mothers and no father, etc., because of the extra possibility of user error it would introduce. I also look forward to the ability to someday identify multiple possible relatives for a person and the evidence that supports each possibility, such as described in the Polygenea model.
