Peter Brooks, abt 1750 - 1819, SC?

New and learning.

Searching for any clues as to Capt. Peter Brooks' birth date, date of marriage to Sarah Berry, death date/place.  Born in Enoree SC, lived in Union Co SC, I think he moved to Jackson Co GA around 1800. His wife wins in 1827 GA lottery as widow of RWS.  Moves to Cowetta Co.

Any info on Peters parents (Magnus and ?) or parents of his wife Sarah Berry would help to put me out of my head banging hours.

I have pulled all of this from Ancestry, books on SC RWS and internet. If anyone knows more or fresh places to search would make my year!  Thank you!!  And happy New Year.

Thank you for your fast response!  I had not seen the 1800 Census!

Peter Brooks, this wiley relative crossed over into GA sometime and died on me.  No death date no marker.  But his junior went, too, so many have confused second marriages and death clues with the son.  Alas, somewhere in Madison or Jackson Co lays his mound of ground so to speak, God bless 'em.

Family Search and Genealogy list places and dates but little or no documentation to take as facts....unless census or court records, where do people get this stuff...marriage date comes from no where...not listed in any records.  Maybe I am too picky?
Tim Brooks posted below the names of two resources for Brooks which might be useful unless you have already seen them.
