Gaile's post about Sylvester Stallone's family reminded me of some profiles that I'm looking to unload to shorten up my watchlist. When I moved here, I was somewhat surprised to learn that J.L. Kraft (yes, the Kraft Foods guy) was born in Stevensville, which is now part of Fort Erie. It's nice to know that a local boy made good, and I did some searching and put together a small family tree for him, but I haven't been able to connect them to the larger tree. And, to be honest, I have enough problems in my own family tree that need to be fixed that it could be months or years (if ever) before I get back to the Krafts to do anything more about them. That seems to be a little unfair to them, especially since J.L. is definitely notable. So if anybody thinks they might be related to the Krafts, or has a special interest in the Niagara region (or Illinois), or just really likes cheese, I'd be happy to hand over the reins, as it were.

I connected Kraft to the tree! The connection should show up tomorrow morning. His great great grandfather is Martin Beam, who is 19 degrees from A.J. Jacobs. :)
