multiple categories for French WW II Croix de guerre

I have been trying to work on military awards. there are two categories for the same award from France

Croix de guerre 1939-1945 (sub category of French Military Awards)

Croix de Guerre (French War Cross) WWII (sub category of Orders, decorations, and medals of France )

French War Cross is an english way of saying the French name, and WW II vs the years 1930-1945 for when the war occurred, so both look valid,  Croix de guerre 1939-1945 is how it is called on Wikipedia, although that also has (France) at the end to distinguish it from the same award name from Belgium.

there is a single person (Hemingway-9) under the Croix de Guerre (French War Cross) WW II listing, and it appears to be from a template in his profile, not sure if it is from WWII or Honors project.

{{Medal

|Medal = Croix de Guerre (French War Cross) WWII
}}

going forward, is there a new standard from the projects that applies where everyone should be added to one of these two categories, with people from the other moved to it and then that category deleted?
