Interesting I just addressed the hiding of URL's this morning see this post.

If what you want to do is shorten it. Try https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=BlreO8bmK30C&pg=PA533

Hi Sir William,

I don't think you mean "concatenate" it - that's what you do when you take 2 text strings and combine them, with one following the other.

In this case, you have a couple of very long URL's (that is the tekky word for "web address" - what gets put in the address window of a browser to go to a webpage).  Here is how to use a phrase that describes the page and make it "hot" so that it is the link that is displayed and the painfully long URL does not litter the page:

for the URL that is:  http://www.something.com/something_else/more_stuff/etc.  that takes you to a page titled Good Information  enter the following on the edit page:

[http://www.something.com/something_else/more_stuff/etc Good Information]

and the only thing that will display is Good Information which will be a link that you can click to go to the web page.

You start with a left square bracket, put the URL next, then a single space, then whatever you want for the hot text, and end with a right square bracket.

If you put a bracket before the url [ a space after it and write the book's name and then closing bracket ] you should get a better looking link.
