Terry, following is the page you can go to download a GEDCOM of your family tree:

http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:DownloadGedcom

Whether you save the GEDCOM to disk or save it on your computer, you'll need family tree software in order to view it properly.

If you don't have the software to interpret the GEDCOM, FamilySearch.org offers their family tree software for free:

Personal Ancestral File (PAF)

thank you debby i will try it,i have a long way to go yet not that you ever finish trying to find info on the family, thanks for answering my question
You are welcome. :)
You might also use Gramps, which is a multi-platform Family tree program (Windows, Linux and MAC...amongst others).

Gramps is entirely free.

thanks paul at least i have a couple of options

Unfortunately, PAF has been retired. The note on FamilySearch.org website states:       Beginning July 15, 2013, PAF will be retired and will no longer be available for download or support. For full details and for information on alternative products, please visit http://familysearch.org/PAF.
