Thank you for your reply about the D. Mumford/ Abigail Poole connection.  I am looking for documentation of that marriage, or the marriage of David Mumford (b.1755) to Abigail Turrill.   Both wome have been widely named in various sources, but I have not found documentation to prove either.

I have also been unable to find any documentation of any children born of David and Abigail in NJ, though David served in Revolutionary War from NJ  as did David's brother, James.
David Mumford's sons may have served in the war of 1812.

If you have their names a Google search might show when and where they served.
I have very compete info about this family from David forward.  My brick wall is finding any documentation for his time in NJ, his marriage/s, the birth of his children who were born in NJ and proof of his parents.  Peleg has often been named but with no documentation.

I have DNA evidence linking him with the RI Mumford family

George Mumford is descended from David Mumford Groton Conn.  Born in 1731 he married Rebecca Saltonstall.  His line is

well researched and goes back to Thomas Mumford I through Thomas' II,

III, and IV.  Your DNA matches with George's goes a long way to

confirming your family stories of descent from Thomas of RI.
