Looking for information on Benjamin F. Monroe

I am looking for information on Benjamin F. Monroe. The only concrete information I have is that he had a daughter Mary Emma Monroe (Monroe-923). He most likely would have been born around 1845-1850 and probably lived in the Chicago area.  Thanks for any help you can provide!

Thank you Betty for looking into Benjamin Monroe for me. Is there any possibility you could email me directly those two images you posted in the G2G?  I can't see or read them full size unless I have an active "Ancestry.om" account. Thanks!  Jeffrey Swett.  jswett@gmail.com
      Jeffrey,

      I will do that.

      Hi Betty,

Any chance you might have time to email me those images?

      Thanks again...   Jeffrey Swett
I sent those last week. Did you check your junk folder?

I'll resend after I get back from the grocery. There. I resent them.

Hello Jeffery Swett. I just came across your post seeking information about Benjamin Franklin Monroe. He was my Grandmothers father. Mary Husted was his wifes name. One of their daughters was Grace Monroe,, my grandmother and another was a Swett. They were married around 1868 in Chicago after he was discharged from the military as a Major. [8th Ill.Infantry I think]

Benjamin was born on Sept 7, 1940 in NY. and died Mar 23, 1921 in Elgin, Ill. Was a past commander of the Elgin, Ill GAR post. He is buried in Greenwood cematary in Elgin.
I hope this will help you some.
