Bridge Whitten was born apprx 1795 in Maine. He later moved to Illinois. He was one of the men responsible for the Kinderhook Plates Hoax. He married Suzannah Mozier and later Elizabeth Clark. He died in 1860 in Ill. He was an engineer and Postmaster.
