What is the proof that Burwell Rogers was Michael William Rogers father?

Michael William Rogers was born in 1812 in Georgia.  He and his family are listed in the 1850 census for Texas.  Wikipedia states that Burwell Rogers was his father, but I have never seen any verification for this.  I would  like to know the source of that information.
