Looking for McKay/MacKay descendants - Please read post

Question

I'm looking for descendants of my late grandfathers siblings:

Allison Gilbert McKay (born circa 1887)
Angus McKay (born circa 1887)
John MacDonald McKay (born circa 1891)
Helen McKay (born circa 1893)
Thomas McKay (born circa 1893)
James McKay (born circa 1900)
Alexander McKay (born circa 1901)

I know that John MacDonald McKay married Janet Edwards McNab and had 5 children: 

John McNab McKay (died 10/3/1976 married twice to Ruby Elizabeth and Jean Richardson) 

Angus MacDonald McKay (died 15/11/1979 married to Elizabeth Gillies)

Janet McNab McKay

Ailsa Edwards McKay

Hugh Johnstone McKay

And I know that John McNab McKay had 4 children whom are still alive:

Janet (aprox. 77 years old)

Marion (appox. 65 years old)

Jeanie (approx. 62 years old)

Vicki (approx. 61 years old)

And I know that Angus MacDonald McKay had 2 children who are still alive:

Bruce MacDonald McKay (approx. 70 years old)

Lynette Elizabeth McKay (approx. 62 years old)

Scotland was where my Grandfather and his siblings were born . . . and all I know of some of his siblings . . . 

• Helen McKay (possibly migrated to Sydney Australia)
• Thomas McKay (possibly migrated to South Africa)
• James McKay (possibly migrated to Canada)

The rest . . . no idea where they are unfortunately.

I have a James Hay Mackay 1859-1930 son of John Mackay and Jane Hay born Edinburgh Scotland came here to South Africa. Mackay-1160.  Dates are wrong though.

If they are from Scotland originally the best place to start is Scotland's People (subscription and credits) at http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk. It's a government site which explains the fees.

I am unsure if this is the Alexander MacKay you mention-

My Grandfather was Alexander Sutherland MacKay- born apprx 1900 and died 1980 in London. He was married to Hanora (Mudie) MacKay - they had 5 children John, James, and Robert, Mary, and my mother Elizabeth. My aunt and mother are very much younger than their brothers, so unfortunately I know very little about my uncles. All 3 fought in WWII- Robert was a C4rth Highlander.

Hi Steve,

I have a Dolina Mackay born 1914 I believe in the Clyne area of Sutherland.

Could there be a connection she married a McLeod in 1938.
