What about Tags, what are they anyway?

If you go to the help index (drop-down menus top right of every page, click on T, then go to tags) you will find a link to the Tags Help Page and you will see:

What are Tags?

Tags are a way for members to:

  1. follow activity in the topics that interest them, and
  2. connect with other genealogists who share the same interests.

When you're following a tag, you're alerted to new activity through your daily "Wiki Genealogist Feed" e-mail updates. The updates include WikiTree activity in followed surnames, tagged G2G discussions, and new members who added the tag.

What a great way to see what's going on, on WikiTree, that is important to your Genealogy research!

WikiTree on and TAG you are IT!

Great post!  And they are the best way to keep up with "new ideas"  under the TAG "Improvements", learn about why people are doing around DNA with the TAG "DNA", or learn about a project like the TAGS "presidents", "euroaristo: or PGM"....
