Finding living relatives

Question

I purchased a house in the mid-1990s and found a box full of pictures and some paperwork for Mary Ellen Evans Skeen and her family. I have searched from time to time over the years to no avail. I would like to try to find any of her living relatives to give these mementos to. There are some important documents here that should be with the family. Can anyone help?

Was the house in Miami or elsewhere?

The house was not in Miami. It was quite a bit farther north in Parrish Florida. The house was purchased from Walter Binder. I do not know what his connection to Mary Ellen was, but he had this house built in the 1980s so there was no prior owner.

There are a number of photographs of her life (several in 8 by 10 size), 2 notarized death certificates for her brother, a 50 year mason card for her father, cemetery plot receipt,diplomas and certificates, some documents from the Kentucky Railway company (rule book and internal newspaper), newspaper obit for her sister and a typed (looks like a carbon copy- remember carbon paper?) list of attendees to a YMCA Annual membership Dinner in 1953 honoring R.R. Evans  and F.A. Burns (listing positions and locations of each attendee- the type of thing you would be unlikely to find in researching a family tree).

I hope you can find contact information for living relatives.  Two years ago, someone found a box of letters that my father-in-law wrote to his parents while he was stationed abroad during World War II.  My husband and his siblings were thrilled to get that collection of letters!  It included letters that Dad wrote after learning that two of his brothers had been killed in action, and the letter informing family that he intended to marry a woman he met while stationed in the Philippines.

Her Husband was Henry Alexander Skeen (1927-1987). They married in Dade co, FL in Aug, 1960. She is Evans-13782 on wikitree (1918-1993)
