A Walton brick wall

Alfred Benjamin Walton (1807-1882). Born in Vermont, died in Utah. His oldest son, Darwin Mosier was born in 1830 in New York, but he married his wife Sarah Buys in 1833. She was assumed to be the mother with a marriage in 1829, but New York records show their marriage was 18 Jan 1833. This is a new development, so no research has been done that I know of.

I suspect a first wife, possibly with the name of Mosier, but have also seen Parsons as a possibility. Can find nothing. Alfred moved with the Mormons to Ohio, then after 1844 moved on to Utah.

1850 Census shows Alfred Walton, born Vermont, living in Weber County, Utah, with wife Sarah and son Darwin M Walton, age 20.  No mention of the name Mosier, but perhaps it was changed.

Darwin was born in 1830, Alfred and Sarah were married in 1833 according to New York records. It would be quite unusual for a couple to have a child and not marry for three years. I believe he may have had another wife, perhaps who died shortly after the child was born. That's who I am looking for.
