Who are the parents of John Stewart born 1790 Of Kirkhouse, South Ronaldsay, Orkney, Scotland??

Ive only found information on who he was married too which was Margaret Allen born 1794 Of Holm, , Orkney, Scotland. Also rumour in family is that John Stewarts line comes from Mary queen of scots. Not sure where else to look or find info on him as I am in canada and can only access records for scotland online only

There are a lot of references to John Stewart (with various spellings) on family search.org. So much so that there may have been more than one John Stewart born around 1790. There are several Scottish census returns which need to be examined carefully to sort out who is in which family. Hopefully in the 1841 census you will find that his parents are still alive and that he or his father will be named as head of the family. With any luck his mother will also be there.
