Nancy J. Johnson (b. abt. 1854, d. November 2, 1930 in Griffin, Spalding Co., GA) married an Unknown Johnson between 1870 and 1875. The marriage to Johnson would have taken place after the 1870 census, but she is enumerated as a widowed head of household by the 1880 census, with a child born in 1875, William Jackson Johnson. Although Nancy Johnson appears in the 1880 census in Upson County, GA, there appears to be a possible connection between the Johnson and Milam families in Arkansas, and in Georgia. Nancy remarried to Lee A.J. Milam about 1886. In the 1910 census Nancy's mother, Laura Roberson is in the household with Nancy and Lee Milam, shown as age 79, widowed, married for 44 years, and the mother of seven children, four of them living in 1910. Because his name does not appear with hers in the 1870 census and he is deceased by 1880, the name of the Unknown Johnson has been impossible to locate so far. No one of my family knows, and there are no records that provide any leads.
