Finding records for Mormon Colonias in Mexico

Watching the headlines of the recent occupation at the Malheur refuge in Oregon, I got curious about the Bundy family. They're definitely notable. I quickly found the paternal line were Mormon polygamist holdouts, having left the US for Mexico for some decades, leaving some big gaps in US records for their family.

So, here's a problem case that's come up. Genavieve Bundy (1907-1997) also married a Bundy. But then, I found that she was adopted by a stepfather, her mother's second husband. My best guess was that Genavieve's mother's marriages both occurred in Mexico. Marriage #1 about 1905 when she was 17, with the first husband's death and her subsequent remarriage before they headed back north in 1912, fleeing Pancho Villa and the Mexican Revolution.

So, there's the question: Where to look for Mormon records for the Colonias? What's Genavieve's LNAB? They weren't part of the official church in Salt Lake any more, which had renounced polygamy, but maybe they've still got records somewhere? Or ... what else?

I don't have an answer, but thanks for posting this. A fascinating piece of Mormon history. It really helps to give context to contemporary events too.
