In addition to the previous answers I would like to add information from Ancestry.com and rootsweb.com.

Your great grandfather, WENDELIN JOSEPH BOEHM, SR., was born Oct 1858 in Wurttemberg, Germany and died after 1940 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania.  According to the 1920 Census, WENDELIN and his parents were born in Wurttemberg.

He is buried in the CALVARY CATHOLIC CEMETERY, located at 718 Hazelwood Ave., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15217; phone is 412-421-9959.  You could contact this Cemetery and ask for any information on WENDELIN that they have on file.

WENDELIN immigrated to the United States in 1882-1883 from Germany.  He "declared his intention to become a citizen" on Aug. 29, 1888; and he was declared a "Citizen" on May 29, 1893 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

WENDELIN J BOEHM married MARGARET WILZ on May 29, 1888 in Pittsburgh.  MARGARET was born Sept 1858 in Pennsylvania and died between 1920 and 1930.  Her parents were born in Germany.

WENDELIN (nickname WENDEL) and his brother, JOHN BOEHM, started the J BOEHM & BROTHER  HOME MADE EGG NOODLES FACTORY as early as 1892.  I found them listed in the 1892 Pittsburgh City Directory - they were living at 4901 Cypress and the factory was located at "Cypress & Fitch".

I found WENDELIN SR' and his family on the 1900, 1910, 1920, 1930 & 1940 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Census's.

You will be interested to know that on the 1930 Census, WENDELIN states that he owns his home and it is worth $10,000!

At some time WENDELIN and his brother, JOHN, split up and each had their own noodle factory.  WENDELIN's noodle factory was W. BOEHM COMPANY, located at 4648 Friendship Ave. in Pittsburgh.

WENDELIN and MARGARET had a son, WENDELIN JOSEPH BOEHM, JR., who was born Feb. 20, 1891 in Pittsburgh.

If you will "google" "BOEHM NOODLE FACTORY" you will be surprised at the information you will find!

I hope this has helped you in your search!  Sincerely, Melinda
