The Turley Wade Family Tree on is the one I'm actually working on and looking to expand....which is why I'm looking for more information John S. Wade and Carilda "Rilda" Temple.  This is where I have "hit a brick wall" - I have been unable to find details or specific information for either one of them, in census records or otherwise.

Thank you for your quick response and effort in assisting me, I appreciate it.

Very Sincerely,

Kathy (Turley) Kowalczyk

In addition to the previous answer I would like to add information that I found on the website Ancestry.,com - Transcribed below is information from the TURLEY WADE FAMILY TREE on

CHARLES EDGER WADE was born July 31, 1860 and died March 16, 1938.  He is buried in the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery in Headland, Houston Co., Alabama.  His grave marker can be viewed on the website - just type in the Memorial #63844106.  His name is spelled EDGER on the grave marker.

CHARLES EDGER WADE married Frances Elizabeth Key, who was born April 25, 187_, and died Nov 12, 1932 - she is also buried in the Pleasant Plains Cemetery.

The parents of CHARLES EDGER WADE are JOHN S WADE, who was born about 1821 in Georgia.  There is no death date for JOHN.  JOHN S WADE served as a Private in the CSA, 57th Alabama Infantry, Company D.  JOHN and family are found on the 1860 Dale Co. Alabama Census.

CHARLES's mother is CARILDA "RILDA" TEMPLE, who was born about 1829 in Georgia.  There is no death date for her, but they reference the 1880 Dale Co., Alabama Census.

I was unable to find this WADE family on the 1870 Census - sorry.

I hope this gives you information you did not have!  Sincerely, Melinda
