I believe the majority of my 383 profiles shown as unconnected are now connected.

This is the continuation of the statement in the heading, turning it into the question as I did not know there was a limitation of 120 characters "but with the limitation of 10 steps I cannot check which ones are and which ones are not! What do I do?" Why are only 4 of the many Wikitree contributors able to search for connections beyond 10 steps or degrees? This is very limiting.

Well, One problem is that searching an unlimited number of steps would result in a great amount of computer usage.  A lot of people having lots of their profiles searching for distant connections could crash the system.  An occasional search to find a set of critical links as I assume is done in the Kevin Bacon sort of thing can be done at slow times and isn't going to upset the applecart.  Note that the difficulty of some searches is what allows public key incription to exist,

Thank you Dave and as the only answer so far it is the best.

It does take longer than 24 hours for the connections to be recognised and the number of my unconnected is now down to 218, so I shall peg away at that slowly to make sure they are all connected in the tradition of the WikiTree Family that is great to belong to!
