Thomas Hoey b in Ireland about 1835 had a son William Hoey 1860-1919 who married Mary Jane McNeill on July 7, 1832 in Belfast Ireland  She was the daughter of Andrew McNeill. William and Mary Jane had at least 6 children. William 1884, Elizabeth 1885, Samuel 1889, Daniel 1890, Martha 1891 and John in 1894. I think the first three children were born in Ireland before the family moved to Motherwell, Lanarkshire, Scotland. The Hoey name was changed to Howie. Samuel was killed in action in France in WW1 on April 23, 1917.I would be so very grateful if someone could help me find this family. Please and Thank you.

I see you have not yet joined us on WikiTree.  Won't you consider completing the process?

You can then create a profile of Thomas if one has not been created already and then add what you know about him.  In doing so, we can join in and collaborate together about him and his family.  You would be helping us help you help WikiTree grow.

Hi, Our lines sound very similar.  I am going to Ireland this summer. My HOY line stops in Offaly, but there are some Whites- that married HOY from Lanarkshire, Scotland so I was planning on going there too.

I'll be taking tons of gravestone photos and church photos. my email is lisakhoy@gmail.com
