Oliver Bernier is my paternal grandfather. He was born July 4, 1865 in Quebec somewhere along the St. Lawrence River. In February 1900 he married Emma Blackburn, born in Montreal on April 11, 1885. They lived in the greater Sudbury, Ontario area for around 20 years and had a large family. She told me he died in a plague while working in the woods. I suspect that what she meant was the Spanish Influenza that hit Canada in 1918 when returning soldiers brought it home from overseas. Any or all information would be most appreciated.  He was the son of Dina Fortin and Francois Calixte Bernier.  As near as I can dete4rmine, he had 5 siblings and they were Marie, Delvina, Anselme, Joseph, Zephrin and Oliver was the youngest
