Male Pritchett (Pritchard)/Elizabeth Sim(m)s Partain child John Thomas 12/6/1866

Greetings - My Great Grandfather (John Thomas Pritchett/Pritchard/Partain) was conceived by a man who is said to be either a wealthy retailer or a Union soldier who was in Rolla Missouri around March or April of 1866, and my Great Great Grandmother (Mary or Martha) Elizabeth (Sims/Simms) Partain.  John Thomas was born December 6, 1866 in Fayetteville Arkansas and was given the surname of Pritchett/Pritchard, even though Elizabeth was married to Charles Partain at the time.  Charles was fighting for the confederate army after all of his possessions were stolen by the union army and he was forced into duty.  Any information regarding the Pritchett/Pritchard male who apparently is my Great Great Grandfather would be appreciated.

I have found one Pritchett male who was in the 9th regiment of the Missouri State Militia and cavalry, which is one of the 3 regiments in Rolla (Phelps County) during this time period.  The records are from 1863, but I assume he could have still been around there after that regiment mustered out in 1865.  His name was Abram (Abraham) Pritchett.  Anyone with any information to share on this will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you, Terry
