Hi Joel Crone & Elizabeth Ianson are my 2nd Great Grandparents. I do not know who his parents are but there is a newspaper article in the Newmarket, Ontario paper from August 27, 1936 - there was a family gathering of the Crone Family. This family was founded by Joel, John, William and Nelson Crone who came from Pennsylvania about 1802. Among lands which the Crone brothers held from the crown were: the Amos Hill farm, Newmarket, with the farmhouse where John Moss’s residence is now located, the Harry Hulse farm on Second St., north of Newmarket; the Norman Crone farm, Sharon and a farm on Yonge St.
