Need names of women who contributed to Montreal in a marked way [closed]

The city of Montréal will be celebrating its 375th anniversary next year.  As part of the plans for this is the naming of streets, parks etc with the names of women.  Right now, only 6% of names so used are those of women, 50% are men's and the rest are neutral in this respect.  They are looking for names of women who contributed in some fashion to this city's growth, whether in science or arts or social action.  Anyone living here is invited to submit such names.  The press release is available at this site:

http://ville.montreal.qc.ca/portal/page?_pageid=5798,42657625&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL&id=26453&ret=http://ville.montreal.qc.ca/pls/portal/url/page/prt_vdm_fr/rep_annonces_ville/rep_communiques/communiques

(There's a button to switch it to English version there).

Since I live in Montréal, I would like to submit such names.  Anyone who knows of such can either submit directly, or if you prefer, give me the names as well as a brief outline of why they would qualify, and I will put them in.

This is also in line with the international women's day coming up.

Awesome!
Unfortunately not regulated to Montreal, but still may contain some info, a fairly new book: ALONG A RIVER, THE FIRST FRENCH-CANADIAN WOMEN, by Jan Noel, University of Toronto Press, 2013.

Thanks, there appear to be 3 or 4 that would be relevant to this city, one for sure, founder of the deaf-mute institute

Here are a few more sources to consider, though some are Canadian and not specific to Montreal:

Does anyone know which of the Filles du Roi lived in Montreal?  They certainly contributed in a major way.

Wikitree has a Filles du Roi tag i think, but i don't know how to add it here
Thanks Shirlea, but this topic is a year old already, and the submissions for names have long been finished.  The filles du roy had lots of children from whom many of us are descended, but the focus was on people who did something more than that.
Thanks!
