Here it is! The first and real Dutch_Roots_Project Challenge!
Wie vindt als eerste een link naar de WikiTree en wint de Badge.
Who is first in finding a link to the WikiTree and wins the Badge.
: Ik las net quoting Chris Whitten een van de beste WikiTree-ers die ik ken: “Unconnected” betekent dat een persoon/profiel is niet verbonden binnen 100 “graden” van de profielen wel verbonden met WikiTree. Hmmm dat klinkt als een uitdaging/challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D Toch??
:D Just read, and quoting Chris Whitten, one of the best WikiTreeers I know: "Unconnected" means a person isn't connected within 100 degrees of any of the anchor people on http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Connection. That sounds as a challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or???????????
Waarom een challenge? Gewoon omdat het leuk is! We hebben in het verleden gemerkt dat het leuk is om met anderen samen aan een bepaald doel te werken. Soms zit iemand vast of komt gewoon niet toe aan bepaalde zaken die nog niet af zijn en samen is de klus vaak snel gedaan.
Why a challenge? Just because it is fun! As we worked together before at one aim we noticed we had a lot of fun and working with profiles with brick walls or just hanging there, not finished, because of lack of time is done fast together.
Omdat dit de eerste challenge is hebben we gekozen voor een hele familie die ik ooit geadopteerd heb vanaf de Dutch Roots Project Unsourced pagina, inmiddels bestaande uit 32 profielen naast hun echtgenoten, waarvan er nog steeds niet 1 aan de Tree gekoppeld is. Tijd om daar verandering in te brengen!
Because this is the first challenge here, we selected a whole family I adopted from the list of the Dutch_Roots-Project UNSOURCED profiles. Although the family has now 32 profiles besides spouses, none of them is connected to the tree yet. Time to change that!
Natuurlijk zijn 32 profielen veel te veel. Maar om te zorgen dat IEDEREEN mee kan doen in deze eerste challenge hebben wij 4 profielen uit de familie gekozen.
Het oudste profiel is een pre-1800 profiel, een vroeg pre-1900 profiel, een laat pre-1900 profiel en een zoon van een emigrant in Pella, Iowa, USA.
Ofcourse, 32 profiles is far too much. To make sure EVERYBODY can join the challenge we took out 4 profiles.
The oldest is a pre-1800 profile, one early pre-1900 profile, one late pre-1900 profiel and a son of an immigrant of Pella, Iowa, USA.
Hoe werkt het? Het gaat hier om open profielen met geaccepteerde/goede bronnen. Iedereen kan de profielen bewerken en familie toevoegen. Maarrrrrrrrrrr alleen met goede of meerdere bronnen en bronvermeldingen.
How does this work? The profiles here are open profiles with good, accepted sources. Everybody can edit or add family to the profiles. BUT!!! Only with good or multiple sources en they need to be added to the profiles.
Op het moment dat je denkt dat je één van de hier genoemde profielen aan de WikiTree verbonden hebt post je hieronder de link naar het profiel dat er voor gezorgd heeft dat het profiel aan WikiTree gelinkt is.
The moment you think you linked one of the profiles named here to the WikiTree you post a link to the profile that makes the connection.
De volgorde van posten is de volgorde van binnenkomst. Daarna zal zo snel mogelijk gecontroleerd worden of het profiel inderdaad aan WikiTree vastzit.
The order of posting is the order of arrival. Then we will see a.s.a.p. if the profile is connected to the WikiTree.
De challenge begint vandaag. Datum (WikiTree stijl): 2016-03-07 om 13.00 Nederlandse tijd.De challenge eindigt zodra de connection bevestigd is maar uiterlijk 14 maart 13.00 uur Nederlandse tijd.
The challenge starts today date WikiTree stylish: 2016-03-07 at noon GMT time.The challenge ends the moment the connections is found and proved but latest Monday 2016-03-14 at noon.
