Wikipedia has a page for The Washington Grays Statue of

a 'PA Volunteer' who is holding a long rifle like these. It might help in

putting a time on this picture. Your picture would be dress

uniforms, like for a parade or ceremony guard regiment. Photography

began about 20 years before the Civil War, so it would be after 1840.

Maybe the war after the Civil War and before WWI?
Oh how gorgeous they both look, what a lovely photo

They both look so proud in there uniform
