looking for info on Arick Barnes born 1826 sc died in 1860s Marion Alabama. looks like he got married in Georgia had a couple kids moved to Alabama and had more. He is 33 on the 1860 census and not mentioned in 1870 census

I am also researching Georgia and Alabama ancestors.

I have found these resources really handy.

This site has Georgia historical newspapers.  Milledgeville was the capitol of Georgia between 180? and the 1860's  The link below is Athens but there are other newspapers.  I found a Gilbert Barnes in 1801.

Also, marriage books and other information is at the Georgia Virtual Vault.
