Theorena Thesta Wood- Cherokee Indian?

Question

My father has always been told that his mothers fathers mother, etc (something like that) I have it down somewhere and this is the woman... is a cherokee indian?

 

I had her name originally as Theoxa Ann Thesta Wood but have her on a census with her husband as Theoxena or Theorena?

I know NOTHING about Cherokee Indian Research... can anyone point me in a direction to find out more info about her and if she really was a Cherokee Indian?

That is what led me to change her name... not trying to make it FIT but I looked back at census records I already had in my sources for family I know is mine...

 

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated!!

The  Dawes roll  or the  five civilized tribes roll  might help you. I have a copy of them both if I can be of any help i would be happy to.
