How do you connect the children of parents without entering them seperately

I know that there's a way to connect the children of the parents to each parent but I don't remember.  Do you have to go in an individually enter them?

When you add a child to a parent the spouse is assumed to be the other parent and this will happen automatically.  There is a check-box near the bottom (which will be pre-checked - can be unchecked if there is another parent).  When a child is added as a sibling of another sibling, the same parents are assumed as the originating sibling so the same parents will be assigned to the newly created profile as well.  When there are multiple spouses and a child is added, there is a choice of check boxes from which to select the correct "other" parent.  If a child is added to a parent before a parent has a spouse attached then the 2nd parent will need to be added manually, in that case, this is easiest by just adding the Wikitree-ID to the box which is provided for that instance.
There's also a few trick to make some choices easier.  For instance, If William and Mary have three children and then Mary dies.  William remarries to a 2nd wife name Susan.  William and Susan have children.  If at this point you add the children from Susan's profile instead of William's profile there is no choice as to who the other parent is since William is the only other parent possible, whereas if you add the child from William's profile you will need to choose which of his spouses is the mother.  After, a first child is added to a couple, subsequent children will be added with the previous criteria, by that I mean if William and Susan continue to have children the software will assume Susan is the mother unless the pattern is broken or you indicate otherwise.  In the case of a missing child appearing and needimg to be added to the first wife instead of Susan, the check-boxes below can be check/unchecked as needed.

Hi Adiene

Are they already created?  Then you can use the edit and attach/connect siblings.

If you are creating the profile use one parent, create a child and add each child, one at a time.

If you have already created the parents and adding/connecting a sibling - you can do this through the edit section or if it shows that you can add a child - then add them.

The image on the main profile is either [add child] or if you are adding a sibling then it will show [add sibling].

Thanks for the info.  Some of it I knew but you helped me understand other things.

If the parents already have profiles, when you create a profile for a child or connect the parent an existing profile, there is a box on the form that you can check to indicate the name of the other parent.

There's a similar box to check when you edit a child's profile to connect to a parent -- if the parent has a spouse, you can indicate whether that spouse is the child's parent.
