What country, county and or city did the birth take place in? Do you have the year and  or location of the marriage?
William Cornelius, son of Moses and Ann Dodson Cornelius lived on Frying Pan Creek in Pittsylvania County, Va.  As a married man he was in Greenville, SC area.  He fought in the American Revolution with Capt. Kingsbury (formed in North Carolina).  We do not know if he married Lettice in Va or SC.  Their children were born in SC.  In 1816 or 17 he and all the children, who were by this time married, came to Blount County Alabama.

There does not seem to be support for a verifiable documention of Cargill as a last name for the Lettice who married William Cornelius.
